Fashion tips and hacks!

I love when I find a good life hack so I thought why not share some of my top fashion tips and hacks! I think we all can agree we want to preserve our clothing longer so why not find ways to keep them renewed.

  1. Do you ever have a problem with a strap that keeps falling down, a shirt not staying in its place or do you need a temporary hem in a pair of pants? Then, get some handy dandy fashion tape! It is a double sided tape that holds fabric to fabric or fabric to skin. Most women probably already know or at least have heard of fashion tape, but do you own it. It really works well and does the job. I even keep a few in my purse just for emergencies! (figure 1)

  2. Have you ever got an oil or grease stain on a super cute blouse or a great pair of pants and think that they are totally ruined because washing them doesn't get the oil stain out! Immediately after finding out you have a stain: lets say your shirt. Place a cloth inside your shirt to prevent the oil from spreading to the back, then take baby powder and completely cover up the stain, let it sit up to a hour, then wipe off excess powder with a dry cloth; if the stain is not completely removed, reapply the baby powder and wait an addt'l hour or longer for stains that have set in longer. *Note: I'm sure another powdered substance like baking soda may work just as well, but I've always used baby powder! Plus it smells great! Wipe clean with a cloth and that's it! (figure 2)

  3. Do you own a sweater or a pair of pants that after washing them these annoying beads of lent destroys the entire look of it? And you may try to hand pick off the beaded lent, but its times up too much unnecessary time! Go and grab a shaving razor! That's right a basic men's or women's razor will end all of your problems. Make sure the razor is not wet, but dry and start shaving your clothing in a downward motion, then taa-dah! If you have a lot of beaded lent yes it may take a while to remove it all, but its definitely a lot faster than hand picking. (figure 3)

  4. For us ladies who wear makeup...have you ever got foundation on a dress or shirt and maybe tried to remove it with soap and water, but no luck. Well look no further, go and grab some shaving cream! First apply shaving cream to the stained area, rub in and let set for 15 mins or so, then rinse out with cold water, reapply shaving cream, rub in let set, then rinse with warm water, then your foundation stain should be completely removed! (figure 4)

These are a few of my fashion hacks I know works! What are some of yours tips or hacks or have you ever tried any of these? Leave a comment below or share some of your fashion tips or hacks!
